Join Oraynu as we continue to learn about and forge connections with Indigenous communities

The Na-Me-Res (Native Men’s Residence) Pow Wow is the largest Pow Wow in Canada and Oraynu is happy to participate. This event continues our commitment to Jewish/Indigenous reconciliation. When Jesse Wente spoke to our community he recommended attending a Pow Wow. There will be food, entertainment, and cultural programs. It is free to attend and promises to be a wonderful afternoon!

If you’re planning to attend and want to group up with other Oraynu-niks, let Evelyn Goldstein know (email her at: evelyngoldstein07@gmail.com) and she will arrange to meet up with you at the Fort York Visitor Centre just before noon.

Here is the Pow Wow information flyer for more details: https://www.nameres.org/annual-traditional-pow-wow/

This Pow Wow and Festival, in honour of Summer Solstice, brings together incredible artists and performers. Experience Indigenous food and learn more about the many cultures that make up First Nations, Metis, and Inuit communities in Canada.

This annual celebration of traditional and contemporary Indigenous music, dance, theatre, storytelling, film, crafts and food is produced by the City of Toronto in partnership with the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation and The Friends of Fort York.
