  7/\n\nJay Shofet\, a veteran environmental activist\, has been with Socie
 ty for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) for 10 years\, and direct
 s resource development globally. A resident of Tel Aviv\, Jay grew up upst
 ate New York moved to Israel in 1986.  He holds a BA in Government from D
 artmouth College and an MA in Political Science from New York University. 
 He served as Chairman of the Reform Jewish community in Modiin\, and on t
 he national executive of the Reform movement in Israel.  \n\nSPNI is repr
 esented in the Canada by Nature Israel™\, the Canadian Society for the P
 rotection of Nature in Israel\, an organization founded by Oraynu member
