Jay Shofet, a veteran environmental activist, has been with Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) for 10 years, and directs resource development globally. A resident of Tel Aviv, Jay grew up upstate New York moved to Israel in 1986.  He holds a BA in Government from Dartmouth College and an MA in Political Science from New York University. He served as Chairman of the Reform Jewish community in Modiin, and on the national executive of the Reform movement in Israel.
