18Doors – (formerly Interfaith Family.com) 18Doors is the online resource for interfaith families exploring Jewish life and the grass-roots advocate for a welcoming Jewish community. This resource is for everyone touched by interfaith relationships where one partner is Jewish, on every topic of interest to them, and for everyone who works with and cares about them.
No Silence on Race – This organization seeks to mobilize the Canadian Jewish community to act intentionally and speak truthfully about the lack of recognition of Jewish people of colour within the community. It hopes that by turning No Silence on Race from a call to action into a space for community, we can together answer these questions and take meaningful steps in building Jewish spaces where looking like everyone else is no longer a prerequisite to feeling welcomed. Oraynu has issued a public statement in support of the goals of NSOR, and we are a recognized ally of this group.
Hashomer Hatzair (and its sister organization Camp Shomria) offer the highest quality informal education to prepare young people for real life, as they practice leadership skills, advocate for social and environmental justice, and build connection to progressive Jewish values and Israel. In our youth-led community, life-long friendships are built as the youth and young adults take ownership over their experience, as they develop their sense of agency and responsibility for shaping the world in accordance with their values. Campers have a unique opportunity to connect with our Heart to Heart program participants, a group of Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel who participate in a leadership program which runs concurrently with Camp Shomria. Heart to Heart equips its participants with relationships, skills and tools to work in solidarity across lines of difference to create more just and inclusive societies. Oraynu supports the Heart to Heart program.
